They are an excellent Linen spray, and a simple way for the novice aromatherapist to enjoy the thterapeutic benefits of essential oils. Add to a soothing hot bath. Botanical Name: Salvia sclarea Plant Part: Leaves and Flowers Extraction Method: Steam Origin: Bulgaria Description: Clarysage is a short biennial or perennial herb. It has large, hairy leaves with small bluish - purple flowers. Common Uses: Antiseptic and deodorising, with a sebum balancing effect on the skin. Clary sage may be useful for it’s cell regenerating properties on the skin and to assist inflammation, when used as a facial toner on it’s own or blended with other floral waters. May assist to control greasy hair and dandruff by reducing excess production of sebum. May ease stress and tension when used as an air freshener. Can be used as an alternative to distilled water in a facial cleanser. Note: Middle Blends well with: Clary sage essential oil generally blends well with any essential oil, though it works particularly well with Bergamot, Cedarwood, Roman and German Chamomile, Frankincense, Geranium, Jasmine, Juniperberry, Lavender, Neroli, Orange, Pine, Rosewood, Sandalwood, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang. Aromatic Scent: Clary sage essential oil has an earthy, fruity and floral aroma that is both nutty and herbaceous. Precautions: Not to be used during pregnancy.
